Menteri Komunikasi dan Digital Meutya Hafid dalam kunjungan kerjanya di Kelurahan Semper Barat, Jakarta Utara, pada Selasa 12 November 2024 mengajak para ibu rumah tangga untuk mewaspadai celah-celah potensi judi online di keluarganya.

Meskipun saat ini pemerintah secara konsisten terus berupaya menghapus akses serta konten-konten judi online dari ruang digital di Indonesia, Namun langkah tersebut tidak cukup untuk membendung bahaya judi online.

Oleh karena itu Menkomdigi meminta semua pihak harus terlibat dalam pemberantasannya tak terkecuali para ibu rumah tangga yang kerap menjadi garda terdepan menjaga keutuhan keluarganya. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Meutya juga meminta maaf kepada masyarakat karena adanya kasus judi online yang melibatkan anak buahnya sebagai oknum di Kementerian Komdigi.
