Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto mengatakan bahwa Presiden Prabowo Subianto meminta proses perundingan perjanjian kerja sama ekonomi Indonesia-Uni Eropa atau IEU-CEPA untuk segera diselesaikan.

Dalam Rapat Terbatas bersama presiden prabowo subianto di Istana Negara, Airlangga melaporkan dalam proses perundingan IEU-CEPA terdapat tiga isu utama yang masih dibahas utamanya terkait perpajakan transmisi elektronik.

Menanggapi hal tersebut, Presiden Prabowo meminta untuk segera diselesaikan, khususnya isu mengenai pihak Uni Eropa yang menginginkan Indonesia melonggarkan kebijakan impor bagi produk-produk yang berasal dari Eropa, kebijakan pembatasan ekspor berupa pengenaan bea keluar, hingga isu perpajakan digital.

Dengan adanya kesepakatan Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, maka akses ekspor Indonesia ke Uni Eropa semakin terbuka dan daya saing produk Indonesia semakin meningkat.
