Presiden Prabowo Subianto memastikan bahwa kebijakan penerapan Pajak Pertambahan Nilai 12 persen yang berlaku mulai 2025 akan dilaksanakan sesuai dengan undang-undang nnomor 7 tahun 2021 tentang harmonisasi perpajakan, namun bersifat selektif.

Kepala Negara menjelaskan kenaikan PPN ini hanya akan berlaku untuk barang-barang mewah, sementara perlindungan terhadap rakyat tetap menjadi prioritas pemerintah.

Sebelumnya, hal senada juga diungkapkan oleh Ketua DPR Komisi XI Muhammad Misbakhun mengatakan, Pemerintah dan DPR juga akan melakukan kajian mendalam bahwa PPN 12 Persen di 2025 tidak dalam satu tarif.
