Dalam Rapat kerja dengan Komisi II DPR RI, pada Rabu 30 Oktober kemarin, Menteri Agraria dan Tata Ruang/Kepala Badan Pertanahan Nasional Nusron Wahid menginisiasi langkah tegas pemerintah untuk pemiskinan terhadap mafia tanah.

Nusron mengidentifikasi tiga komponen yang kerap terlibat dalam praktik mafia tanah, yaitu oknum orang dalam, pemborong tanah, dan pihak ketiga yang meliputi oknum kepala desa, pengacara, PPAT, dan notaris.

Nusron mengatakan, Kementerian Agraria dan Tata Ruang/Badan Pertanahan Nasional akan menggandeng Kejaksaan Agung, Kepolisian RI, dan Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Keuangan untuk menindak tegas dan memberi efek jera pada mafia tanah.

Menurutnya, para mafia tanah tidak cukup hanya dikenakan hukuman dengan delik pidana umum, tindak pidana korupsi, namun pihaknya juga mengupayakan agar para mafia tanah nantinya bisa dikenakan dengan delik pencucian uang.
